Cassie has recently released her album Cassie after the tremendous success of her single “Me & U,” which was leaked and circulated widely over the Internet. The music video for her next single, “Long Way 2 Go,” is complete and is awaiting release. Other songs from the album that have been leaked are “Can’t Do it Without You,” “Miss Ur Touch,” and “Just One Nite.”

Born to multi-ethnic parents, Cassandra Ventura became a singer quite by accident. Cassie recorded “Me & U” for her mother as a birthday gift. She then approached Ryan Leslie to produce the song. They recorded the duet “Kiss Me,” which record mogul Tom Motolla (responsible for the careers of JLo, Mariah Carey and Jessica Simpson) liked immensely. Motolla offered her a management deal, while Ryan agreed to produce her album ‘Cassie’. She then struck a deal with P.Diddy’s record label Bad Boy Recordings after he heard “Me & U” played in a club.

Cassie was a model for the Wilhelimina modeling agency before she became a singer. She worked with Adidas, Abercrombie & Fitch, Complex magazine, Seventeen magazine, Delia’s fashion catalogue and other local department stores.
