Known for defeating even the biggest local artists in major national freestyle rap battles, ZEALE finished in the Top five at Ohio's Scribble Jam, a competition known for giving artists such as Eminem and Rhymefest their first break. ZEALE also competed in the highly publicized World Rap Championships in New York. At one of the battles he hosted in Austin, he met Croatian producer Marko Jelic. What could be labeled as a "fateful" meeting has led to the creation of his new sound. 10 of the tracks on the upcoming release are being recorded at The Bubble in Austin, and the EP will feature three tracks including his new single "Digital Swagger." ZEALE personally describes the music as "energetic, moving, and cosmic." .. .. ZEALE has been billed on notable tours, including a regional tour with KRS ONE through Texas. After being discovered at SXSW a few years ago, he was invited to tour with Latin band Los Bad Apples for the troops in Africa, Dubai, Kyrgysten, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Italy. Back in the states, in addition to the Grooveline Horns, ZEALE was a featured artist on a western tour with popular singer-songwriter Jason Mraz with whom he would freestyle rap before every after party showcase and on stage. He has also been on the bill with Drake, Ludacris, Slick Rick, RZA, Talib Kweli, and many others.
ZEALE is an emerging Hip-‐Hop/Indie artist from Austin, Texas. Often playing chemistry with the genres of Hip Hop, Indie Rock, and EDM. ZEALE seeks to create a hybrid of music with depth. ZEALE is currently working on his debut EP featuring the sounds of AWOLNATION, Dwight Baker, CJ Eiriksson and more.
