The Briggs,started off and were known as the band, I Decline. They released an album called "Spy On Your Neighbors", but do to legal action by another band they had to change the band name. Thus was born, The Briggs, who are a band based out of Los Angeles, California. Fronted by brothers Joey and Jason LaRocca, this band draws from a variety of influences, but most noteably from the likes of UK artists such as The Clash, Cock Sparrer, Stiff Little Fingers, and Billy Bragg. The Briggs have spent the past few years on the heels of tours that have paired up with more recognizable faces in their genre, including several outings with Irish-punk band Flogging Molly, punk rockers Street Dogs, and hardcore/melodic punk legends Bad Religion. They have also participated in three of the enormously popular summer tour, Warped Tour. The band currently has three full lengths out, as well as an EP that was released in 2004.

The Briggs are a punk rock band based out of Los Angeles, California. The Band Formed in 1999 under the name "I Decline" by brothers Joey and Jason LaRocca and bassist Matthew Stolarz (a.k.a Duck). In 2001, with the addition of drummer Chris Arredondo (a.k.a. Chris X) the band adopted the name The Briggs. Since the band started touring, they have shared the stage with many of the biggest bands in punk rock, such as Dropkick Murphys, Bad Religion and Flogging Molly. They have also been involved with The Vans Warped Tour in 2002, 2004, 2007, and 2008. The Briggs released their fourth full length titled Come All You Madmen on SideOneDummy Records on June 17, 2008. Their song This is LA is played as part of the introduction for the Los Angeles Kings at all of their home games. Their song "Harder To Stand" from the album "Back To Higher Ground" was featured in the soundtrack to the film Big Stan (2008).
