One of Alternative Press' "100 Bands You Need to Know," BETWEEN THE TREES has been laying the groundwork down hard since releasing their 2007 debut album THE STORY AND THE SONG. All Music Guide said of their debut: "A strong album from a band whose story and songs are just beginning." Touring continuously over the last two years, BETWEEN THE TREES has performed in front of thousands, with 400 live performances nationwide, and has played with such bands as Switchfoot, O.A.R., Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Flyleaf and Mae.

Between the Trees is an American indie rock band from Orlando, Florida, formed in 2005. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Ryan Kirkland, drummer Josh Butler and bassist Jeremy Butler.
Between the Trees released their debut album through Bonded Records in 2006, entitled The Story and the Song. In 2007, they signed to The Universal Motown/Universal Republic Group, but it was later announced that this relationship had fallen through and their next album would be self-released. Their second album was entitled Spain and was released on August 11, 2009.
